WHAT IS HYPNOSIS?

Hypnosis works with the power of the subconscious mind to change habits and behaviors. The subconscious mind is considered to be the source or root of many of our behaviors, emotions, attitudes, and motivations. Hypnosis is believed to be a powerful tool for accessing the subconscious mind, creating improvements in our lives and is different from stage hypnosis which is used for entertainment purposes only.

Hypnosis is a heightened state of focus and suggestibility in which the body and conscious mind are in a relaxed, natural state while the subconscious mind remains very alert and receptive to positive suggestions for change. People often refer to hypnosis as a “trance-like state,” where one can concentrate intensely on a specific thought, memory, feeling or sensation while blocking out distractions.

Hypnosis is a tool used to bypass the critical analysis of your mind so that the suggestions can be accepted and then incorporated into a new “automatic” behavior. While hypnosis can be used for personal benefit, it cannot cause you to do anything against your free will or ethics.
